Puppies, Puppies, Everywhere!

Looks only get you so far.

THREE PROS
*If you want to see a bunch of pictures of adorable puppies, you'll get that in spades
*If you like snow and hay, you'll get a lot of that too
*Interesting that a book on puppies was written by a lady named Cat Urbigkit

THREE CONS
*Every page (but the last) has two words on it, one of which is always "puppy" -- needless to say this sucks
*As much as you want to pat the author on the back for including pics of her own dogs (I assume), some variety in the breeds and background settings would have been nice
*With rare exception everything in here is white or brown, so it all just kind of blends together

ONE DAD'S OPINION
Great title.  Cute canines.  Large, full-color pictures.  Seems like a breakaway slam dunk.  Instead it clangs off the back iron causing the figurative player to lose his balance and smack his head on the concrete.  Laying there dazed, a Mastiff quickly runs over from the adjacent dog park and pees all over him.  Ta da!  That's this book in a nutshell.  If you want to look at little animals with your kid, buy a puppy calendar at Kmart and save yourself about $8.  Or just get a real dog of your own and put that money toward a few weeks worth of chow.
